Donna L. Keeton, Of Counsel

Donna Keeton has represented employers throughout the United States for more than 17 years in both federal and state court and before numerous government agencies.  She has extensive experience in assisting government contractors and subcontractors in understanding and complying with their affirmative action and other related obligations, including assisting contractors in preparing affirmative action plans and defending contractors during compliance reviews initiated by the OFCCP and similar state or local agencies.  She also has represented employers during agency investigations of compliance with federal and state laws relating to discrimination and harassment, unfair labor practices, employee wages and work hours, medical and military leaves, and I-9/immigration compliance.

Ms. Keeton also has substantial litigation experience.  She has defended numerous employers in Georgia and many other states in claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, unlawful denial of leave or accommodations, unpaid wages, and breach of employment contracts, and various other types of claims.  In addition, Ms. Keeton has been instrumental in helping employers  avoid litigation and improve their management functions by drafting and helping clients implement more effective policies and procedures, guiding clients through difficult management decisions, and conducting supervisor training to minimize the risk of future legal issues.

Originally from Alabama, Donna completed her undergraduate studies in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania and then worked as a paralegal before proceeding to law school at the University of Georgia.  While in law school, Donna was a member of the Georgia Law Review Editorial Board and Phi Kappa Phi.  She was inducted into the Order of the Coif and was also awarded the Gilmore Award for Excellence in Labor Law, based upon her cumulative GPA across the labor and employment law curriculum.
