Julie has extensive experience in litigating a wide variety of labor, employment and business disputes in federal and state court, including representation in appellate courts. Julie also practices before various state and federal administrative agencies.
Julie has successfully defended employers in lawsuits for claims arising under Title VII, the FLSA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, RLA, NLRA, as well as related state claims such as trade secret infringement, restrictive covenants, breach of contract and tort actions. She regularly counsels employers with respect to hiring, firing, disciplining employees, leaves of absence, accommodations, drug testing, and other matters that arise in the workplace.
In addition, Julie has experience reviewing and revising employee handbooks, policies and procedures, and presenting various seminars and training programs relating to discrimination, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, post-employment restrictive covenants, social networking and other pertinent legal topics.
